ColorMatch does not flatten evidence into anonymous averages. Each entry carries its machine, material, process, outcome, source, and provenance state. Theoretical direction can begin a test; only physical fabrication can qualify it for Tested provenance.

Current material coverage for UV and MOPA laser engraving.

Our deepest tested coverage is the xTool F2 Ultra UV/MOPA on black metal card stock, with additional tested evidence for basswood plywood and a coated metal pen. Stainless and titanium remain explicitly reference-only. Coverage expands when documented runs are repeated—not when the library merely gets larger.

A material does not become Tested because it appears in a list. That provenance requires a documented physical result and review.

One tested entry remains outside the material-family totals until its stock identity is confirmed.
